What to do when things aren’t going your way

By 2019-08-04Motivation

I hope you’ve had an incredible day so far.

And I’m not just saying that to be nice, but I want to tie this sentiment in with rest of the post because a familiar quote came to mind recently, and it’s one that I really love:

If you don’t like how something is going for you, change it.

If something isn’t enough, change it.

If something doesn’t suit you, change it.

If something doesn’t please you, change it.

If you don’t like how things are, change it!

You’re not a tree. You don’t ever have to be the same after today.

-Jim Rohn

It’s reminds me a lot of this other quote I came across last week:

“There is no failure, only feedback – so long as you pay attention to the feedback and act on it!”

–Diane Lowther

This quote seems to combine the ideas of “I only fail if I give up” with “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.”

I’d ask you to consider what you’re trying to accomplish.

Right now… do it.

Take a moment to say to yourself…

“I want __________.”

This doesn’t mean a selfish goal, by the way. The best goals never really are, at least when you get down to the real “why” behind them.

Are you taking steps toward that goal?

For example:

Do you want more buy more real estate?

Are you actively looking for those assets?

Are you making offers?

What steps are you taking?

Are you taking steps toward that goal?

Alan turned to another pilot, named John, and said:

I want to encourage you to keep pressing on.

Set goals.

Determine the steps to take in order to get there.

If you don’t like the results you are getting, change course.

Do what it takes to move closer to your goal.

You don’t have to be in the same place tomorrow as you are today. “You’re not a tree…” remember?

Make today a great day.
